I never knew about the tools we use now on our dogs, like the prong collar or e-collar, when I worked with our various dogs and breeds since 1973. 😎 I first built the bond with our dogs and then moved on implementing new commands as we went on. I think I am still OLD SCHOOL somewhat when it comes to building our dogs now. 🌟 I give slight corrections on the flat collar until our dogs learn what I am asking of them. With a lot of rewards ( treats ) and positive reinforcement. I do use the prong collar and e-collar when training in bite work or advanced obedience out in public since you need to have full control of your pet that could be overprotective or having issues with building socialization with people and other dogs. 🐶🐾 I would suggest to new owners or our clients when training. Don't jump too quickly to using these tools at home until you have tried the fundamentals first. And ALWAYS make sure you know how to properly use these tools as well or you will be breaking your dog or puppy down instead of building them up. If your puppy or dog gets one, most of the time nothing serious you can add some coconut oil to help soothe and soften the area, but sometimes it can turn into an infection. Make sure you see your VET to get prescribed an antibiotic that is for surface wounds. 🙏🏻👌 Remedy: use a raised bed or some sort of day bed for your dogs to lay on. If they tend to chew these beds. Every so often we get a chance to help fellow breeders with rehoming one of their dogs. 💛 This is YODA the 2.5-year-old Frenchie. She came to us from @lottabelleskennel looking for a new home. Thanks again for entrusting us to help!!! 👍 So we gladly accepted the mission 🫡 of finding her a loving home that had time and accommodations to take her into their home. 🏠🐶 God is great always. My wife reached out to one of her co-workers that were looking for a new puppy or dog for the family. And as a reputable breeder, we drilled them with questions as usual before placing any puppy or dog we home. As we were asking normal questions it so happened that the oldest Son Benji Jr. Has already a FOCUS in mind to help rescue dogs at 8 years old. 🙌 His ultimate achievement is to work in the Veterinarian field helping all pets.
